ClipGem is a letter-sized electronic signature capture clipboard with Serial data output for use wherever one party desires a paper copy or receipt in addition to an electronic copy. Thin and lightweight, ClipGem signature pad is a great choice for use in the field as it is powered only by your computer’s data port.
The ClipGem®models include all the high-quality features of our electronic signature pads The very large signing area and tough surface make this a hugely versatile pad for the most demanding applications.
The pens supplied with SignatureGem® 1×5 models have interchangeable nibs (one nylon, one inked supplied with the unit) that allow the user to write in ink on paper positioned above the pad, whilst still capturing the signature electronically. Thus paper forms and documents can be completed in both the traditional way with inked pen with signatures also captured electronically.
The “-B” model is a Serial device. It connects to a PC or Termial via an RS232 connection (pad has a female 9-pin connector – see image above). Typically less common than the USB connection, Serial is having somewhat of a comeback in the expanding Remote Access environment, being ideal for Citrix and/or Terminal services architecture.
This model has a three-year Manufacturer’s Warranty. However, even after this warranty period has passed (or if the repair is outside the terms of the warranty) we can offer a lifetime service to repair or refurbish the unit (if possible) for a modest charge.
